Text Box: We have 3 North West Champions. At the Floor and Vault Competition at the beginning of July we won the overall Pre Novice competitions at Under 6, Chloe Astley, Under 7, Carla Mansfield and Under 12, Natalie Harvey. Read all about it and the other great performances on page 2. There are a few more dates to put in your diary, specifically the next Club and Regional Judging Course and the GMGA Grades for 2008. Remember we shut the gym on Sundays during August as the coaches tend to take their holidays. There will be some different faces at the Text Box: Gym opening July Open all sessions with the following exceptions: 1st July, closed due to the Wingates Competition. 7th/8th July, closed due to the Frank Williams Competition. July 1st 2 Piece Comp at Wingates, Wrenbury. This year over 300 gymnasts so expect a long day. Timings and directions are on the board at the gym. Check out the new directions as there are roadworks on the published route. Allow lots of time. Text Box: July 7th/8th Frank Williams Comp at Dialstone. Lots of help needed for this one so please make sure you know when you should be in during each day. August Closed on every Sunday, everyone is on holiday, no coaches and not many to shift kit. There will be a fun day on one of the Sundays, look out for the date. September 22nd/23rd NWGA Age Groups and Novice/Level 3/Level 4 Teams at BirchText Box: wood. This date will come very quickly so the older gymnasts should be polishing their routines now. September 29th/30th October 6th/7th North West Club Judge and Regional Judging Course, probably in Bolton. This is a provisional date and subject to confirmation. 2nd/3rd February 2008 GMGA Grades at Fit City. Grades 5 and 6 make sure you are not away on holiday. Text Box: club as we welcome back our University Coaches/Gymnasts back, such as Mandy Smith and Sara Shoesmith. We also welcome Chelsie Collins into the 2 piece club. We also say goodbye to Claire Ferguson who has stopped training during June. Well its not really goodbye as Claire will still be Judging and Coaching so you will still see her on Saturdays. The Frank Williams comp rota is still not full, we need some more help on the Sunday, so please fill in the list on the notice board. We will be setting up on the Friday evening at approx 8.30, only takes 1 hour if there is help. Don’t leave it to the few. Text Box: Bits and Bobs - If you can’t attend gym, phone or email your coach or leave a message with the Duty Manager (ken or Dave). - Debbie Waldron sorts out Tracksuits, Bev Perkins deals with Leotards. If you have grown out of your leotard the club will buy it back off you for half price. - There is a hall of fame on the notice board opposite the staff room. This is for you to staple your photos. Have a look at some real old ones.
