Text Box: Our annual kit inspection will take place on 1st Nov when Continental Sports will be on site making sure that all our kit is OK for another year. This is required as part of our GymMark accreditation and supplements the checks done by coaches when ever the kit is erected. They will be repairing the red turbo springboard so that will be available again for vaulting
Text Box: As far as we can tell the process has stopped and the Developer is putting his staff onto other work, rather than this project. We don’t know what the hold up is, but we hear rumours that the Council are struggling to decide what they want to replace the Dialstone Centre with.
One thing is sure, the proposed date of us moving into a new centre at the start of 2010 looks very unlikely. Anyone got some money and spare land? See Mike, soon.
Text Box: You turn up at 1.00 on a Saturday and there is lots of equipment ready erected and the session can start immediately. How does this happen? Tick the right answer.

The centre staff beaver away and get it all ready for each session.
A number of paid helpers make sure that all is erected in a safe manner for the club to use.
All parents and coaches turn up on a rota and help out on a monthly basis.
The gymnasts do it all themselves.
The kit is permanently out, this is a gym centre.

There could be a similar quiz for Sunday at 2.00.

Until we get our own centre Mat Shifting is not optional, it is a requirement of being a member of this club. If you have a medical condition or other pressing commitments see Mike as parents who do help wonder why parents who don’t help, don’t. We don’t need a medical note, we just want to understand and maybe suggest other ways you could help with the running of the club.

Why the reminder? Are current arrangements not working? All is OK at the moment, but we do have an influx of new gymnasts at the moment and many parents are not aware that they need to join in and help. So just a gentle reminder to start with. The new rota is out in January.
Text Box: Kirsty started to coach recreational on Saturday mornings and has decided that coaching is more fun than training. Actually she is very good and will make an excellent coach. But don’t give up exercise completely Kirsty, keep active. Kirsty pictured on the left in her medal winning days, this one at Tameside.
