Text Box: August was a very quiet month with no gym on Sundays and down to 10 gymnasts on one week day. Holidays for most, for Mike more gym with a Senior Club Coach Course at Lilleshall. The only day out was in Torkington Park, where we did a mini display and coached anyone who turned up as part of National Play day. September is back to normal and the start of training for the NW Teams and West View Comps. Lets hope the 4 piece club can repeat the successes Text Box: Gym opening September Open all sessions but on the weekend of 22nd/23rd we may need to shut the gym if the training sessions clash with the competition timings. Look out on the Notice Board for announcements. September 22nd/23rd NWGA Age Groups and Novice/Level 3/Level 4 Teams at Birchwood. The teams have been picked and are on page 2. Sept 29th/30th & Oct 6th North West Club Judge and Regional Judge Course, in Bolton. West View are based in Preston and as the rules are different to the other regional competitions it will not be possible for all gymnasts to compete. Look out for the entries on the Notice Board, but do keep the dates free. November 17th/18th NWGA Age Groups and Novice/Level 3/Level 4 Individual Championship at Birchwood. This is only for Bev and Phil’s groups. Text Box: of the 2 piece club earlier in the year. Congratulations to all of our older gymnasts and younger coaches on their AS levels and GCSEs. We have some right clever clogs! In September we welcome some new starters in Sarah’s Saturday group who will be trialling for entry to the club. We hope they will fit in and represent the club in the 2008 Grades. Welcome also to Mike Dooley, who has started coaching during the week. What have you let yourself in for! The long awaited judging course is at the end of the month and we are always looking out for parents who would like to learn all about the Code of Points. Those of you who are regular mat shifters on Saturday mornings will know Malcolm Pugh, who doesn’t miss many sessions, despite having no daughters at the gym anymore. His daughter, Nikki, one of our ex gymnasts, is representing Great Britain in the Double Mini Tramp World Championships in Quebec 29th October to 4th Nov. We wish her the very best. Nicola Pugh
